It feels fitting that I am revealing my new artist brand and creative aspirations as I sweat in the coastal jungle of Costa Rica. Central America was formative to my identity as a teenager as well, first as a medical group volunteer and then an exchange student in the coastal jungle of La Ceiba, Honduras, what feels like a lifetime ago.

Of course, in reality this idea was slowly, steadily crafted over many months in multiple states and multiple countries; possibly even over years if we want to think that hard about it - but there's no need. Here we are, we've done it. I say "we" because I believe artists create not solely from a personal need to express, but also from a collective desire for that art to be shared.

I have always held my writing and music practices very close to my chest, despite engaging in both pretty darn consistently since I was a young child. Perhaps there's been an energetic shift, a cosmic movement that is prompting this moment of reveal. Perhaps the personal need to express and collective desire to listen is simply too great to ignore anymore. Whatever the catalyst may have been for me to finally float to the surface, and whatever it was that got you on board, thanks for listening!
